WINNER, a five-year project financed by USAID, managed by a group of Haitians which is aiming at improving the living conditions of the Haitian peasant through a package of services set around three essential components:

    Improvement of Agricultural production

    WINNER has considerably increased access to water and good quality seeds by restoring the irrigation systems and by setting into place a network of agricultural inputs shops with the farmers associations within the areas of intervention.

    WINNER develops an approach combining mechanization and technological transfert toward an appropriation of good practices by the peasants.

    WINNER works with more than 350 peasant associations and has trained 800 popularizer peasants in order to spread the good farming practices within the peasantry and increase the farmers’ productivity

    Stabilizing the Watersheds

    Since 2009, WINNER works in a way to reduce the vulnerability of populations by stabilizing the watersheds.

    WINNER implements reforestation programs in all the areas of intervention.

    Strengthening Agricultural Markets

    WINNER strengthens agricultural markets by rehabilitating roads and by supporting products commercialization through the implementation of partnerships between the private sector and peasant associations.
